Our founder and principal partner, Leslie Howard, got his start in software development back in 1995, while working for Nordstrom, a well-known fashion apparel retailer. Since that time, Mr. Howard continued developing new specialized desktop applications for a wide variety of international clients, including Nolet Spirits, the makers of Ketel One vodka and Covance, a worldwide leader in Pharmaceutical testing.
With the creation of Blue Lotus Software in 2003, Mr. Howard elected to concentrate on developing the same high quality applications strictly for smaller businesses and family owned concerns. Many times in today's world, the small entrepreneur has a hard time competing with larger firms, due to the high costs that can be associated with custom software development and large Information Technology departments.
By putting together a small team of dedicated software consultants that believed strongly in the idea that the backbone of America's strength lies in small business success, Blue Lotus Software has not only given small businesses the chance to compete on an equal footing with their larger rivals, but has also, through Blue Lotus' unique training programs, allowed small business to become more self-sufficient with regards to their Information Technology needs and skills.
